Snow is beginning to become a common occurrence around these parts! First, we had a white Christmas - it was so exciting! I heard somewhere it was the first time it had snowed on December 25th, in our area, since 1855. How cool is that?!?
Then, last weekend, a storm came rolling in. It took away our 50 degree weather & brought ice and snow...how fun. It was such a beautiful blessing.
Ice came down over the snow, so it was a bit harder to "mess up" when stomping through. We had 4 full snow days.
It was rather sobering, though, to hear the emergency vehicles so commonly fly down the road. How quickly accidents can happen. How quickly humans can enter eternity.
As I gazed out at this wonderment of winter, the words of a song I first heard a few years ago came to mind:
As morning dawns and evening fades,
You inspire songs of praise.
Which rise from earth, to touch Your heart.
And glorify Your Name.
Your Name. Is a strong and mighty tower.
Your Name. Is a shelter like no other.
Your Name. Let the nations sing it louder.
Nothing has the power to save.
But, Your Name.
May we seek to be inspired to rejoice with songs of praise by the little everyday blessings He sends our way.
